In short: Meem has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and child exploitation of any kind. Violating content is removed on sight, reported to the relevant authorities, and the account is permanently banned.

Meem (joinmeem.com) is a community app for Muslims worldwide to join interest Circles, share opinions, and participate in polls. Protecting children is a condition of that community existing at all - this page states our standards plainly.

Zero tolerance for CSAM and exploitation

Meem strictly prohibits child sexual abuse material (CSAM), and any content or behavior that sexualizes, endangers, or exploits a minor. This includes but isn't limited to:

Images, video, or text depicting the sexual abuse or exploitation of a minor
Sexualized commentary about a minor, real or fictional
Grooming, soliciting, or attempting to arrange contact with a minor for exploitative purposes
Sharing, requesting, or linking to CSAM hosted elsewhere

This applies everywhere on Meem - posts, comments, Majlis discussions, Moments, profile content, and usernames. There are no exceptions and no warnings before action is taken.

Minimum age to use Meem

Meem is not directed at children. The minimum age to create an account is 16. We do not knowingly permit anyone under 16 to use the platform, and accounts found to belong to someone under 16 are removed.

How to report

In short: Every post, comment, and profile has a report button. Use it - reports involving children are treated as our highest priority.

In-app: tap the report option on any post, comment, Moment, or member profile and select the relevant reason.
Email: for anything involving suspected child sexual abuse material or exploitation, contact support@joinmeem.com directly. Include as much detail as you can (username, link, screenshot) - do not re-share or forward the content itself.

Reports are reviewed through our moderation process. Content that violates this policy is removed immediately on confirmation, the account is permanently banned, and - where applicable - the matter is reported to the relevant authorities and organizations such as the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).

Legal compliance and cooperation with authorities

Meem complies with applicable child safety laws in the jurisdictions it operates in, including obligations to report CSAM to designated authorities. We cooperate with law enforcement and legally authorized child-safety organizations investigating child exploitation, including preserving and providing account information in response to valid legal process.
