Meem is a place for Muslims around the world to talk about everyday life - food, travel, style, money, family - share opinions, and be heard by the brands that serve our community. It works because members treat it like a gathering in a home: warm, honest, and respectful. These guidelines describe how we keep it that way. They're part of our Terms of Service, but we've written them the way we'd say them to a friend.
Disagree with ideas, not with people. No insults, mockery, or pile-ons. If you wouldn't say it in a majlis with elders present, don't post it here.
Don't post things you know to be false or misleading. Reviews and recommendations should reflect your real experience. Misinformation - especially about health, safety, or religion - gets removed.
Don't target, shame, threaten, or repeatedly unwanted-contact another member. There are no DMs on Meem by design - it keeps the community in the open, where good manners live. Please don't try to work around that.
Meem is home to Muslims of every school of thought, background, and level of practice. Share your perspective; don't declare someone else's invalid. Discussions stay on our shared ground.
Nobody on Meem - including Meem itself - issues fatwas. Share knowledge with sources, say "ask your local scholar" generously, and present your view as your view. Posts claiming religious authority will be removed.
Say "this is certified by [certifier]" or "the community recommends it" - never present something as halal-verified on your own authority, and know that Meem never certifies anything as halal either.
No sexually explicit, graphically violent, or otherwise obscene content. This is a space families should feel comfortable in.
Don't share anyone's personal information - photos, addresses, phone numbers, private conversations - without their clear permission. Doxxing is an immediate suspension.
One person, one account. No impersonating people or organizations, no fake accounts, no pretending to be a scholar, certifier, or brand.
No repetitive promotion, scams, or link-farming. Don't manipulate polls, Meems, or rewards with fake accounts, scripts, or coordinated voting - it corrupts the research our community's voice depends on, and points earned that way are removed.
This is our brightest line. Hate speech toward any religion or its followers - mockery, insults, or dehumanization of other faiths, their figures, or their places of worship - has no place on Meem. The same applies with full force to sectarian attacks between Muslim groups. The Quran itself teaches us not to insult what others revere (Quran 6:108).
Meem hosts faith. It never fights about it.
